Chile: Did Canada create this electrifying team?

A friend of mine has an interesting theory about this Chilean team that I decided to share with you. He says that Canadians are the responsible of this "electrifyng, energetic and powerful" squad. He states that an external power went to Chilean players from Canadian people and that's why they are now a fast and strong team.
It would have happened on July 19th of 2007 during the U-20 World Cup semifinal between Chile and Argentina. Almost 20,000 people went to the Toronto FC Stadium to watch the two South American teams in the best match of that tournament. As a result of a terrible refereeing of the German Wolfgang Stark, the Argentines won that game. Of course, with 7 Chilean players yellow-carded and 2 red-carded, it is not difficult to say that Argentina finished playing 12 against 9.
Chilean fans were upset and the German referee left the field protected by the police and Chilean players. Even Condorito, the most important Chilean ambassador of peace, was arrested during that match for jumping into the field to complain about bad refereeing.
But the most important thing would come later. When the game was over and the Chileans were going back to their hotel, something unclear until today happened between the Chilean team and the Toronto police. What is already confirmed is that the T.O. police use gas and electricity against the Chilean team integrated by Alexis Sánchez, Mauricio Isla, Arturo Vidal and Gary Medel, all of them in the current adult team playing in South Africa.
Even the Chilean former president Michelle Bachelet blamed Toronto police for an "unjustified aggression" against those young Chilean players. That wasn't a funny story in that moment, but today when Chile has done a good campaign, my friend's interpretation of facts can be true.
So, was something in that gas and electric shock that changed the players' behaviour? Maybe. If Spiderman got a power from a spider or Hulk became stronger thanks to an experiment, why not in this case? For the moment, I will recommend that my friend Julio stop watching these comic series, at least for a while.
